IS MMM STILL PAYING IN NIGERIA?
IS MMM STILL PAYING IN NIGERIA?
The
question in many people’s mind is whether MMM, the most popular Ponzi scheme is
still paying people who participate in the scheme in Nigeria.
To
answer this question, let’s look at the introduction of MMM into the Nigeria
society and what led to froze of the participants’ account in December, 2016.
MMM
is a Ponzi scheme founded by Sergei
Mavrodi, his brother Vyacheslav Mavrodi, and a woman Olga
Melnikova.in 1989. MMM has been introduced in most African
countries like South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Zimbabwe.
MMM was introduced to Nigerians in the month of November
2015 as a community for mutual help where ordinary people assist
one another. So many Nigerians embraced the scheme with lots of optimism that
the scheme will help to mitigate the economic hardship and boost their
financial capability. This led to many people both young and old undergoing
training and eventually becoming guiders in the MMM scheme.
Mavrodial
Mondial Movement (MMM) froze the account of all the participants from GETTING
HELP (GH) on 13th of December, 2016. The reason for this was
attributed to the panic created by the Media and the discouragement of Nigeria federal
government through the central bank of Nigeria, the Economic and Financial
Crime Commissions and other federal government agencies. They came out publicly
to warn people to desist from participating in MMM and thus dissuading those
who would want to provide help.
This
heightened the system as participants became nervous and uncertain of what the
future holds for the scheme resulting to more people requesting to GET HELP
(GH) than the PROVIDE HELP (PH). In other to control the mismatch in PH and GH,
MMM decided to freeze the accounts of participants with the promise that they
will resume operation on 14th January, 2017.
The answer
is YES, MMM resumed operation on 13th of January 2017, as against 14th
that they initially stated. But due to loss of confidence in the scheme as a
result of the temporary froze of account; people didn’t continue participating
in the scheme immediately. It experienced some lag and much system error while
trying to get back to their feet. This made the media to report MMM as a
crashed/failed scheme.
Although
some persons lost their life through various suicide method on the news of the
temporary suspension of the GET HELP, MMM as a scheme actually succeeded in
achieving its aim which is to remove the media and the federal government of Nigeria’s
attention from the Ponzi scheme and thus reducing the volatility in investing
in the scheme.
WHY YOU SHOULD INVEST IN MMM AGAIN?
I
know that some persons may think MMM is for jobless folks who don’t have any
job but I tell you today that MMM is a game for the strong hearted and risk
takers. However it is advisable not to borrow money to put in the scheme
because anything can happen at any time.
I am
a freelancer who earns decent monthly income from Fiverr.com. When the GH feature was disabled
in December, 2016, I had just my #20,000 in the scheme. I didn’t feel much bad
because to me, the money is too insignificant. I can afford to lose it. Hence
I encourage anyone who wished to participate in the scheme to do that now
before the media and the federal government focuses their attention on the
scheme again. The scheme is enjoying a very serene environment now as such has
a lower risk of crashing any soon.

NEVER you borrow money to invest in the
scheme as it is clearly stated there that EVERYONE SHOULD PARTICIPATE WITH
HIS/HER SPARE MONEY. The use of the word SPARE MONEY has aroused a great controversy
amongst the critics and supporters of the scheme.
They critics are of the
opinion that there is nothing like spare money since every penny is important
to whomever that owns it. But I want to explain to you that spare money is any
money you can afford to lose without much regrets. Remember that it is a RISK
NOT TO TAKE A RISK. Don’t test the depth of the river with two legs or else you
will DROWN!
